Jamie died 3 years ago today on November 5th, 2008. I first spotted him on a bus in 2006 during my first visit to NYC. That trip changed my life forever and I later moved here for good in January 2007 where I officially met him. I never quite told Jamie how seeing him on the bus that day, a stranger to me at the time, making the pretty girl (that means you, Maggie!) sitting next to him laugh in his East Coast accent, was so exciting to me. When I did finally end up in New York, we eventually crossed paths again and were introduced formally, instantly hitting it off. The year that followed us meeting was one of the best and most exciting years I ever plan on ever having. Jamie was inspiring from every angle of life and completely ahead of his time. Anything creative I have done in the past or do in the future can, in some way, be traced back to him. A birthday is a date we all memorize then see ahead or behind us all year long - for our whole lives. We will never know our own death date, but today, November 5th, is yours Jaime Ewing, and it has become very important to me. A landmark on the calender, held with both sad and happy thoughts of you. But y’know, mainly hilarious, happy memories. Miss you always.With all my love,Kevin.
